Rafael Nadal reveals something about himself, including his desired super power, technique in controlling nerves and message to his 10-year old self, in a latest GQ commercial for Tommy Hilfiger.
Before he plunged back to action for the 2017 season, Nadal did a short advertising flick for Tommy Hilfiger, presented by GQ. There, he was given questions never asked before in past press conferences. Here are some of the questions and corresponding answers from Nadal.
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be? - To travel from one place to another.....in no time.
What kind of job would you have liked if you hadn't become a tennis star? - I have a passion for sports. Surely, my life would be linked to the Sports World.
How do you control your nerves under pressure? - The best I can, basically. If I feel confident with one-type of a shot, when I am nervous, I try to execute it.
What's your favorite movie? - Several, but if I have to say one, it would be "Gladiator."
What advice would you give to your 10-year old self? - To do whatever makes me happy, which is what I have usually done.
What's your favorite pizza? - Margherita with anchovies, Neopolitan Pizz.
The 30-year old Nadal is currently in the middle of his preparation for the start of the 2017 season. He's scheduled to kick off his campaign for the new season at the Brisbane International before gunning for another Grand Slam title at the Australian Open championship in Melbourne, Australia this January.
The former world's no.1 is looking for a bounce back season after a dismaying campaign last year that saw him crash all the way to no.9 in the world rankings.
