At 2016 KBS Entertainment Awards, Kim Jong Kook and his best friend Cha Tae Hyun were the presenters for the Best Show/Talk category.
During the presentation, it seems that Cha was dropping hints to the public that Kim was taken, AllKpop reported.
"Shouldn't you get married? Are you not going to marry?" Cha teased. Kim responded that he will get married. The former insisted and continuously teased the latter, which eventually surprised him with Cha's accusations.
The two friends laughed it off and Kim denied Cha's accusations.
Furthermore, during the Sept. 2 episode of KBS 2TV's "Welcome Show," Kim Ji Min expressed his suspicions about Kim's dating life.
When Jong Kook says that he only has 10 phone numbers of female colleagues in his phone, including Ji Min's number, Kim Ji Min did not believe him. "The reason why it doesn't make sense that he only has 10 is because he never puts down his phone," Ji Min said.
According to Soompi, Ji Min says that Jong Kook has quite a lot of secrets that even his close friends, Cha Tae Hyun and singer Hong Kyung Min, doesn't have any clue about his dating life. They knew that he dated in the past but they never knew who the girls he actually dated.
Jong Kook revealed on the May 25 episode of KBS' "Hurry Up Show" the reasons on what caused his previous relationships to end. He admitted to Hong and Cha that he once lied to his girlfriend about exercising, and that she caught him red-handed, which led to their breakup.
Jong Kook debuted as a member of the group Turbo. Now focusing on a solo career, the singer released his debut album titled "Renaissance," while his third album "This Is Me" is one of the best-selling albums in Korea with over 300,000 copies sold.
Jong Kook was also part of the cast in SBS's hit show "Running Man." He was part of the original line-up until the show recently announced that he will be leaving together with Song Ji Hyo.
