Will there be a "Gilmore Girls" Season 8? Fans kept asking since Netflix dropped a cryptic tweet that made fans crazy with curiosity.
Be still my heart! Show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has held her tongue and has not revealed any detail whether a new season is in the works for Netflix, but fans assured her and the cast that they need to make a new season. Below are the three reasons why the world needs more seasons of "Gilmore Girls"
To answer the questions
The Netflix revival was supposed to provide closure to fans who have waited for so long for the reunion of the cast. The last season of "Gilmore Girls" is quite controversial because show creator Amy Sharman-Palladino and her husband left the show after a disagreement with CW after moving from Warner Bros.
However, it seemed that the reunion special has created more questions than answers. It seems that four long episodes are not enough to establish what happened to the girls in a span of 10 years.
Spin-off would mean that Lorelai will have minor role
Following the cliffhanger for an ending, a Rory spin-off was rumored to happen that is speculated to focus on Rory's pregnancy and motherhood. It can be remembered that Rory found out that she is pregnant, although the baby daddy remained unknown. Fans believed that Logan is the father of Rory's baby until Netflix dropped a confusing tweet that made everyone doubt their conclusion.
While most fans can settle for a spin-off, others think that it could mean that Lorelai will have a minor role in the show if it focused too much on Rory's struggle in ending up as a single mother like her mom.
We just really miss the girls
Lastly, fans just missed the girls and wanted more than four episodes. Moreover, a new season will give chance to other stars who was unable to join the Netflix revival to come back.
