"Arrow" Season 5 recently saw Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Susan (Carly Pope) kissing each other. Whatever else happened to them that night was not featured in the hit The CW series because Oliver got preoccupied with the death of Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickard) reporter boyfriend.

Following the episode, fans of "Arrow" and Oliver started reacting negatively on social media regarding the lead character's budding relationship with Susan. However, executive producer Wendy Mericle clarified that even though she understands that not all fans will be supportive of Oliver and Susan's relationship, she knows for sure that the two did not have sex.
Amell also seconded Mericle's statement by assuring fans that Oliver and Susan have not consummated their relationship via his Facebook account.
Meanwhile, Oliver and Susan's relationship is expected to flourish throughout Season 5. While speaking with TV Line, Mericle said that the two characters will go all in in the upcoming episodes. Since Oliver is at a loss following the death of Billy Malone (Tyler Ritter), he will find comfort from Susan. The latter has been there for him throughout some of the most difficult times of his life in Season 5.
"They are going to go all in on the relationship at some point, for sure. But one of the things that's interesting about Susan is that they do have a genuine relationship - she really does care about Oliver, and vice versa - and yet she has been on this track of trying to find out who he is and what he is up to. And not just as the mayor, but beyond that," she said.
In other news, Oliver will also get the cold shoulder from Felicity, but the latter will stop herself from blaming the before because she understands that Billy's death was beyond anyone's control. In the finale for Season 5, Felicity was heartbroken and in tears not only because Billy has died, but also for Oliver and even for herself.
"Arrow" Season 5 will return with episode 10 titled, "Who Are You?" on Jan. 25 at 8 p.m. EST.
