Acer has recently made a major stride in the gaming laptop industry by launching the world's first curved screen notebook.
Just days ahead of the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) convention, the Taiwanese-based electronics giant officially introduced the highly-anticipated Predator 21 X. It is a 21-inch curved gaming laptop that is loaded with some serious gaming power inside.
The Predator 21 X features a 21-inch curved display with a 2560 x 1080 resolution that offers a 120 Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, according to Acer's official website. It also has an eye-tracking technology that automatically controls camera rotation as the user moves its eyes.
Internally, the Predator 21 X is anchored by a 7th-gen Intel Core i7-7820HK Kaby Lake processor and two GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs in SLI set-up. A 64GB of RAM that can hold up to four 512GB solid-state drives and 2TB hard drive are also included.
There is also a numeric keypad that can be flipped over and used as a Precision Touchpad, as well as a full-sized mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches. At a starting price of $8,999, the Predator 21 X gaming laptop will be available in North America starting in February.
For those who are budget-conscious, there is also a more reasonable high-performance gaming laptop coming. The Predator 17 X gaming laptop is now anchored by an Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU, according to Anandtech.
The notebook's 17-inch display is available in 1080p G-Sync or UHD IPS 4K. Other features include a custom triple-fan cooling system and a server-class vapor chamber. With a starting price of $2,599, the refreshed Predator 17 X will be available in North America this month and in China sometime in February with an asking price of ¥39,999 ($5751).
