The next episode of "Dragon Ball Super" will see the return of three familiar baddies. The new synopsis for episode 76 teases that Majin Buu, Freeza and Cell are not the kind of villains who die and stay dead, as the three popular villains will make a comeback to the anime when the new episode debuts this month.
Synopses for the future episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" fill the newest issue of the manga anthology "Weekly Shonen Jump," and a certain Todd Blankenship was generous enough to translate them online. Blankenship reportedly posted on his Twitter account the English description of episode 76, teasing the reappearance of the popular trio.
"Kuririn is picked next as the bored Goku's training partner. He suggests they train together under the Turtle Hermit like the old times. As a part of their training, the Turtle Hermit orders them to go get the 'Paradise Grass' herb from a forest. In the forest, they find Freeza, Majin Buu, Cell and other old foes Goku and co. have fought," reads Blankenship's translation.
It looks like Goku has already grown tired of training with Gohan and the likes, so Krillin will be volunteered to be his new training partner. As the two seek the guidance of their ex-mentor, Master Roshi will direct them to the forest to look for some mystical herbs. In the course of their quest, they will run into the three baddies.
Given the synopsis, fans can expect another action-packed episode when the anime returns on Jan. 29. However, it is also possible that the encounter might just be nothing more than a drug-induced hallucination, Comicbook noted.
Meanwhile, the "Dragon Ball Super" official website recently released a brief synopsis for the brand new story arc of the anime that is set to kick off in Japan next month. The "Universal Survival" saga will see the dawn of universal destruction.
"At Goku's request, the Omni-Kings' "Tournament of Power" martial arts tournament between universes now begins! But this also proves to be the beginning of universal destruction. What awaits the victors of this tournament, and the vanquished? How will these intense team battles between the elites of each universe turn out?" reads the synopsis for the new arc.
The English-dubbed "Dragon Ball Super" started airing on Adult Swim on Jan. 7. The anime also airs every Saturday, 7:15p.m.on Crunchyroll.
