The Universe Survival arc is just around the corner. Few weeks from now, Dragon Ball Super will enter arguably the biggest story arc of the series, where new worlds will be explored and characters introduced.
But other than the fact the new arc will feature a massive tournament where universes existence are at stake, the Universe Survival Saga is still pretty much shrouded in mystery. The plot of the upcoming story remains well-kept up to now, and that adds more excitement surrounding it.
The last two episodes have provided clues on how the next arc would shape up, so expect more hints to be dropped in episode 73, 74, 75 and 76. For now, it won't make any harm speculating about the events that could transpire in the tournament. So let the hype train starts rolling. Here are the four bold predictions for Universe Survival Arc.
Android 17 Still Evil:
It's good to see Dragon Ball Z characters making a comeback in the Super Series. As we all know, Android 17 is the evil brother of Android 18, who is now Mrs. Krillin. Toei Animation along with the promo poster for the Universe Survival arc confirmed that Android 17 will be one of the fighters chosen by Beerus to represent Universe 7 in the tournament.
However, it's very suspicious for a hardcore villain like Android 17 to be part of the gang all of a sudden. There has to be a reason behind it, and I believe 17 will still play the role of a villain in the next Saga.
Crazy Powerful Fighters:
When you know your universe survival is on the line, there's no reason for a God of Destruction not to field the strongest fighters at his disposal. The next arc is going to be epic based on the sheer number of new characters to be introduced.
If you think the roster of characters for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is already loaded, then wait for the next DLC pack update because it's going to be massive in scale. Expect new characters with crazy power levels, that's for sure. And perhaps, we may see another Saiyan fighter from another Universe, other than Cabba.
High Priest True Powers to be Revealed
The thing I like about the High Priest character is he's a mysterious guy. No one knows his true intention and agenda. In the upcoming Universe Survival arc, the High Priest will reveal himself fully.
As what Whis stated he's a very powerful guy with top-5 battle power amongst the fighters across the 12 universes. Honestly, I won't be shocked if this High Priest guy emerges as the no.1 villain in this particular saga, making him an ideal overpowered baddie for Goku and Vegeta to test their power.
New Saiyan Level for Goku and Vegeta:
A very powerful potential villain in the High Priest leads to a new-found power for Son Goku and Vegeta. We all know that fusing the two Saiyan Warriors yields to Vegito, but no matter how strong the fused fighter is, the limited time for the fusion will make Vegito irrelevant, especially against the High Priest.
For Goku and Vegita to beat a near omni-powerful guy like that, they have to achieve new power levels in this saga. Yes, Dragon Ball Super is all about Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan God and all that, but it's about time for Akira Toriyama and Toei Animation to introduce a brand new power levels for the Saiyans. It has to happen, whether it's going to be the long-due Super Saiyan White (Dragon Ball AF) or a long-hair Super Saiyan Blue.
