The upcoming "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will feature a multiplayer mode, which means that BioWare brought it back due to the mode's popularity back in "Mass Effect 3." However, it will affect the single player story campaign in myriad ways.
In an interview with Kotaku Australia, producer Mike Gamble confirmed that the multiplayer component of the upcoming "Mass Effect" game will have close ties with its single player campaign. It is different from its predecessor as it will impact the game directly.
The multiplayer mode can be accessed even when the player is currently progressing through the single player campaign. With this, the mode will feel more of an extension of the game story instead of a separate feature.
The multiplayer missions will revolved around Helios, a plant that will have a story that melds into the bigger narrative. For players who prefer playing alone, the multiplayer mode's story content can also be accessed within the single player campaign without problems.
While it provides another layer of connection between the multiplayer mode and the game campaign, there are still some questions left unanswered, especially for the multiplayer mode itself. According to Game Rant, there is no way to be sure how the microtransactions are made, despite the fact that the feature is confirmed to exist.
Regardless, there is little certainty on the multiplayer details for the "Mass Effect: Andromeda." BioWare has not specified any specific date for its ultimate reveal, but it is coming soon. With the game's release within two months, it is possible that the details will be provided before the end of the current month.
However, it may also be possible for BioWare to hold back and release more information about the game come February. It is expected that alongside multiplayer details, the company will also give light to some other details such as its minimum PC requirements.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be released on March 21 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here is the latest video for the game:
