People over at Respawn Entertainment recently announced that they will be releasing a new content for their first-person mech shooter, "Titanfall 2." The developer also hinted that they have tons of stuff in store for its fanbase this 2017 and this update is just a taste of things to come.
The looming DLC will feature a new game mode dubbed "Live Fire." The latest content will be a fast paced 6v6 player skirmish minus the behemoth mechs called Titans. "Live Fire" will be a best of five shoot fest with each round timed at one minute without getting any respawns after the player gets eliminated, according to Titanfall's website.
Moreover, the game can also be won if one of the members of the team has snagged the so-called neutral flag within right before the time expires. Another add-on to look forward to are the two new maps namely "Stacks" and "Meadow" that are said to be exclusive to "Live Fire" gameplay. The developers even described it as tight and engirdled maps to add more fun and intensity while playing the upcoming game mode.
A new coliseum map will also be added to the mix simply dubbed as "Columns," though information about the new map is still unknown. A new pilot execution will also be chipped in alongside some commander intros for each group that will be further discussed as soon as the DLC is released.
The upcoming game expansion is also slated to introduce a playlist interface allowing players to select their preferred game modes that they wish to be part of. Nevertheless, Respawn has yet to make an official statement on when will the new content will be released.
Meanwhile, "Titanfall's" mobile game version dubbed as "Frontline" failed to make the cut and will be canned by its developer Particle City on Jan. 20, Game Spot has learned. The developer stated that the mobile game is not ready to deliver the gameplay being featured by its home console counterpart.
