"Taken" star Liam Neeson is requesting the Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquaio for two tickets to his fight with Floyd Mayweather on May 2 in Las Vegas entitled, "Fight of the Century," the Inquirer reported.
The Academy Award nominated actor is backing Pacquiao to mark boxing history's most anticipated event yet, and hand Mayweather his first loss in the ring.
"I'm definitely in Manny's camp. Yeah, sure, I want him to beat this guy. This could be (like) the Muhammad Ali-Joe Frazier fight of 1971," the "Run All Night" star said.
Neeson was the voice behind "Manny: The Movie," a Pacquaio documentary, released earlier this year.
"I know that he is into politics and I think he'd be great for the Philippines. Get this over with and completely retire. He has already made his money," he continued.
For now, "Manny," he said, "Just two tickets buddy, just two tickets," he pleaded.
Tickets to the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight are highly expensive and are expected to be scarce. The initial estimates revealed ringside seats to cost $5, 000, which could sell twice the amount in secondary markets.
Meanwhile, Pacquaio told Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith that he feared other previous opponents than the 47-0 Mayweather.
"In my heart and my mind, I was more worried about the Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto fights than this fight," the only eight division world champion shared through the ESPN airwaves, Wednesday.
"Cotto punched harder. [Mayweather] has a good defense, but I have a very good plan," he added.
