Android Nougat is the latest version of Android which was just released in August 22, 2016 and it has brought in a lot of new amazing features and enhancements in both Android 7.0 and Android 7.1.
Samsung started their rollout of the Android Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge last week but some users are not able to get it right away, but now, Samsung is ready to make the much awaited updated available globally, Gadget Guide Online reported.
One of the things people are looking forward to, are the brand new features Samsung is throwing in when it comes to the camera. The new camera application is simplified and is a lot clearer than before with no visual clutter and is gesture-based, according to Phone Arena. If you find it a bit confusing to switch from Marshmallow to Nougat, here are the key changes in the camera app interface you need to know.
1. Cleaner interface. The Quick settings panel is now narrowed down to just two options that are most commonly used - flash and the HDR adjustments. The rest of the visual clutter is removed and the space is freed up in order to move the front camera swap button, leaving three buttons on the other side.
2. Gesture-based navigation. This feature allows the user to access the front camera by simply swiping up, or back down for the rear, swipe left for all shooting modes, or right for all filters and color effects.
3. Beauty mode. Now this feature is not just for selfies and front camera because you can now make use of beautifying mode feature for the main camera which will make the faces look brighter and clearer.
4. Dedicated selfie shooting modes menu. You can now set your device to take pictures as well as videos just by using voice commands like "smile", "cheese" or "capture".
5. Wide self-portrait with motion. If you have been using panorama, this is just what the wide self-portrait is all about but the catch is that you can take it using your front-facing camera.
