With Valentine's Day just around the corner, "Supergirl" Season 2 will feature an episode that will focus on the CW series' newest couple, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima). Latest spoiler news teased of the two characters having their first real fight as a couple, as well as Maggie's romantic gesture to celebrate the holiday.
"Supergirl" Season 2 recently returned to the small screens with a winter premiere that featured Alex and Maggie re-confirming their relationship as a romantic couple. Aired on Jan. 23, Monday, the said episode titled "Supergirl Lives" showed Alex reassuring Maggie that she is committed to their relationship despite her initial worries.
In the upcoming Valentine episode of the CW series, the couple's relationship will be one of the focal story points. Episode spoilers posted on Entertainment Weekly teased of Alex's excitement over the annual hearts day and her eagerness in spending it with her new girlfriend.
However, Maggie will not share in the said DEO agent's enthusiasm about Valentine's Day. The situation will lead to the couple having their first major argument although the detective will try to salvage the situation by organizing a romantic event.
A photo still posted on the same news site showed Alex in a sexy red dress who seems to be dancing with tuxedo-decked Maggie. It appears that the detective arranged a prom-like event for her girlfriend given the corsage of red roses wrapped around Alex's wrist.
Meanwhile, director Kevin Smith gushed over the said two characters' new relationship in an earlier interview with TVLine. Describing the couple's relationship as beautiful, the filmmaker conveyed his excitement in exploring the two characters' love line in "Supergirl" Season 2. He added, "Alex is the heart and soul of this show."
"Supergirl" Season 2 airs every Monday with the CW series' Valentine episode set to air on Feb. 13. Watch the preview for the upcoming episode below:
