It is learnt that Sony will be announcing new high-end smartphone together with other four new phones during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The flagship device is expected to come with a 4K display and is likely to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset.
Sony seems to be getting busier as it is said to come up with four new phones and one flagship phone at the MWC 2017 event. The high-end device is currently codenamed as Sony 'Yoshino'. The specifications and features of Sony's rumored phones are listed down
Sony Xperia 'Yoshino'
Sony's new device 'Yoshino' is expected to sport a 5.5-inch 4K display with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The phone is rumored to come powered by most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The smartphone is likely to feature either a 4 GB or a 6 GB of RAM and Sony IMX 400 image sensor for camera, PhoneArena reported by citing review.ge as source.
Sony Xperia 'Yoshino' Launch Date
If the rumored information is true about Sony announcing the five phones during next month's event, it will be biggest smartphone launch from the company. Rumors suggest that the device will be announced in February and is likely to ship in July. According to iTechPost., Sony has placed orders for Snapdragon 835 chipset which will take months to arrive.
Sony BlancBright
Sony is expected to announce a upper mid-range phone alleged as BlancBright at MWC 2017 The phone is said to come with a 5.5-inch that will support a quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The device is speculated to come equipped with a Snapdragon 835 or Snapdragon 653 chipset. It will come packed with a 4 GB of RAM and Sony IMX400 camera image.
Sony Keyaki (zelkova)
Sony Xperia's Keyaki is rumored to fall under mid-range phone category. The device is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display. It will support a full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The phone is pegged to come with a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset. The device is said to include a 4 GB of RAM and internal storage of 64 GB. It will sport a 23-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front facing camera.
Sony Hinoki (cypress)
Sony Hinoki is rumored to come with affordable price. It is rumored to sport a 5-inch display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels
The phone will be equipped by MediaTek Helio P20 chipset. It is likely to come packed with a 3 GB of RAM and a 32 GB native storage. Sony Hinoki is said to feature a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front facing camera for shooting selfies.
Sony Mineo
Out of the five, the last affordable device is expected to be codenamed as Sony Mineo. Besides the price, no other details have been known yet. The phone is likely to cost around $350,
