Taiwanese model and actress Sonia Sui gave birth to her second baby in Taiwan on Feb. 1.
Baby Lucy is Sui’s second child with husband, Tony Chia, a UCLA graduate who works in the financial industry in the United States.
The 36-year-old mother of two shared the good news to her over 2 million fans on Facebook with a photo of Lucy and a caption, “Lucy came to be with my brother and sister, aunt and uncle. I wish you all a prosperous new year with good luck and good luck for a whole year.”
According to China Entertainment News, the model had a very smooth delivery which took less than an hour. Baby Lucy weighed 3.5 kilograms.
Asia One Women reported that the two was introduced to each other by Taiwanese singer Lai Pei-Hsia, Tony’s mother-in-law, during the former’s music show.
The two remained in contact even after Tony returned to the States. Their relationship was openly admitted by Sonia on her Facebook page, where she also shared a photo of herself with Tony.
She wrote, “I met someone whom I want to bring happiness to. Please give us some personal space. Thank you.”
She added, “We started dating only in these few days!”
Sonia also shared via Asian Pop News that she was very comfortable getting along with Tony and found “security” in him.
The two got married in Las Vegas in Jan. 2015 after dating for less than half a year.
Fans speculated that her haste wedding was due to her pregnancy. Sonia gave birth to their first child, Max, in September the same year in Singapore.
Sui was best known as a fashion model under Catwalk Modeling Agency. She starred in a few films and TV serials, including "The Prince Who Turns into a Frog" and "Magicians of Love."
