After the recent trademark certification of the Galaxy Sky Pro, Samsung is hinting another smartphone under the name Galaxy J3 Luna Pro, as revealed in a trademark application spotted on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) website.
According to the recent patent, Samsung will be adding the Galaxy J3 Luna Pro in its smartphone portfolio, which would appear as the successor for the Galaxy J3 Pro handset, a mid-range Android smartphone released in mid-2016, Phone Arena has learned.
Following the application, the serial number for the trademark bears 87312335 and was filed on Jan. 24. Samsung also trademarked the Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro in the same date.
As of press time, no further information on the key specs and hardware of Galaxy J7 Sky Pro and Galaxy J3 Luna Pro were disclosed. In the meantime, customers could view the original Galaxy J3 Pro's specs for possible hardware and processor coming to the device.
To recall, the Galaxy J3 Pro sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280 x 720p) resolution, The Mobile Indian reported. Under the hood, the smartphone features a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. It also comes with a 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded to 128GB via a micro SD card slot.
In its camera department, the Galaxy J3 Pro packs an 8-megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel front-snapper could be perfect for selfies and video calling. On the software front, the smartphone ships an Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is backed by a 2600 mAh battery.
The Galaxy J3 Pro also offers Dual SIM support. Other connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC and a micro USB port. The handset measures 142.2 x 71.3 x 8mm and weighs 139 grams.
Earlier, the rumored Galaxy J3 (2017) made a recent appearance of several benchmarking websites such as Zauba, GeekBench and GFXBench. The mentioned listings revealed the key specs and features of the device.
The Galaxy J3 (2017) is expected to sport a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Inside, the smartphone features a 1.5 GHz quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU and 1.5 GB of RAM. On the camera front, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera for photography are included. It will run an Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. For connectivity options, the device will feature 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB port.
