"John Wick 2" was an unexpected but welcomed sequel and now people are already waiting for the next chapter. Lead star Keanu Reeves has revealed that he wants to return in "John Wick 3" should that be possible.
There is no official announcement yet regarding "John Wick Chapter 3" but the "Matrix" actor already said in different interviews that he would be more than happy to return as the star of the film. The second installment of the film left audiences with a cliffhanger which may signify that there will be another film.
Reeves told Metro UK in an exclusive interview that he also wants to know what happens to his character in "John Wick 3." He added that it will be up to the audiences if they want chapter three to happen by going to the theatres and supporting chapter two.
"In the second one he's getting a little anti-establishment so I wonder what that's going to mean," said Reeves. "I want to see what happens to that guy. I think the directors (Chad Stahelski and David Leitch) on the first one really created a world."
"John Wick 2" follows the ex-assassin again after a former colleague tries to destroy his life even after retiring. The new film stars rapper Common as Cassian and Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King.
There may be a chance that "John Wick 3" will have an international setting. Film director Chad Stahelski told Digital Spy that they are considering Asia, the Middle East, Paris or the United Kingdom.
Stahelski may have also hinted that the next one could be the last. He said that he wants to "end it in New York" where the film started. There is still no certainty as no green light has been given yet by Lionsgate.
"John Wick 3" is still a mystery but viewers can expect it in the following three years at the earliest considering that it took that long before chapter 2 was released. More updates are also expected to be revealed soon.
