Speculations are rife that the much-delayed book "Winds of Winter" may release after June. It is set to release after its TV adaptation "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres on June 25.
Originally, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 should premiere in April but due to a number of production delays, it will now premiere in June, according to Metro. The upcoming season is all about winter and the show's team had to wait for the season to hit their shooting locales before they could start shooting. This led to a delay of a couple of months and it pushed the production schedule further.
Author George R. R. Martin is about to finish the much-delayed book "Winds of Winter." It is rumored to be nearly complete and in this regard, Martin confirmed that he does not intend to release any more sample chapters of the book. In a comment posted on his journal, Not a Blog, Martin revealed that he will desist from releasing any new sample chapters because they end up being shared all over the Internet.
Martin also added that he released a number of chapters in conventions and the widespread popularity of the excerpts shocked him. This revelation by the author led to speculations that the book is almost complete and Martin wants to keep the plot under wraps.
Till date, Martin has released 11 sample chapters, which have been shared widely all over the world. The first sample chapter was released in 2011 and it focused on Theon Greyjoy. The last released chapter was based on Aeron Damphair and Martin read it out to the public at the Balticon convention in 2016.
Meanwhile, "Winds of Winter" spoilers indicate that it is going to have some shocking moments because of the demise of certain key characters. The book is expected to feature a lot on the Mother of Dragons and her battle to claim the Iron Throne. However, her genes may catch up with her and she may became mad towards the end of the book.
