The impending return of the ABC series "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will feature Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina's (Lana Parrilla) continued efforts to leave the Wish Realm. Meanwhile, beloved characters at Storybrooke will join forces to find a way to stop Gideon (Giles Matthey).
The midseason finale of "Once Upon a Time" Season 6 ended with Emma and Regina's failed attempt to enter the portal that would have taken them back to Storybrooke. Aired in early December 2016, the said episode also featured Regina's encounter with the Wish Realm version of her deceased beau Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).
In the upcoming midseason premiere titled "Tougher Than the Rest," the two ladies extended stay at the Wish Realm will also provide Regina the chance to see a different version of Robin Hood's life, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide. Since the said realm's Evil Queen (Parilla) was vanquished, Regina will have a hard time accepting the fact that Robin, as well as other characters, lived better lives without her in it.
Meanwhile, Emma and Regina's return to Storybrooke will be made possible with the help of a friend. It appears that a Wish Realm version of Pinocchio (Eion Bailey), better known as August, will assist the two characters in their quest to leave the said realm.
Back in Storybrooke, Gideon's appearance will push beloved characters to find a way to stop the prophecy of Emma's death from happening. With Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Gold's (Robert Carlyle) son destined to kill the said protagonist, David (Josh Dallas) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) will team up to prevent Gideon from finding Emma.
In other news, Henry will soon have an active role as the author of the magical fairy tale book, according to spoilers posted on Entertainment Weekly. However, several Storybrooke residents will feel apprehensive over the said character's use of his abilities.
"Once Upon a Time" Season 6 will return to the small screens on March 5, Sunday, on ABC. Watch a teaser clip below:
