There are still no details about the next collaboration song of Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. But recently, "Lose Yourself" producer Jeff Bass cited the "Love Game" collaborations as the epitome of a successful rapper.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Bass was asked how knowing Eminem and working with him has changed him as a person and as a musician. For the producer, it has opened up his eyes for a better vision of what to look for when searching for an artist who is trying to come up and is willing to listen.
"Your competition is an Eminem or a Kendrick Lamar," Bass said. "If you can't keep up with those guys, you're not going to do it. The new artists coming out, the bar is so high for them."
In 2013, Eminem released a song titled "Love Game" featuring Lamar. This was two years before Lamar released his third studio album titled "To Pimp a Butterfly."
In 2016, Lamar released a compilation album titled "Untitled Unmastered." The album was a success in terms of sales and ranking on the charts.
Lamar is currently working on his next album. In a recent interview with T Magazine, he revealed that his upcoming album will center on God.
Nowadays, people exclude God, who is one major component of life, Lamar pointed out. He added that nobody speaks on it because it is almost in conflict with what is going on in the world when people talk about politics, government and the system.
Meanwhile, fans have been waiting for Eminem to release his ninth studio album since 2013. The upcoming album of the "Rap God" rapper is expected to be out before 2018.
