The new student, who is the stoic teenager Komi Shouko, will be introduced by the teacher. Komi will stay tight-lipped and go and sit on her assigned seat next to classmate Hitohito Tadano. Soon the word about Komi's refined elegance and breathtaking beauty will spread all over the school, and students will try to attain a glimpse of her stoic and beautiful appearance.
Her popularity will become high among her classmates, but Komi will try privately to deal with the social anxiety that has been a limiting factor for her throughout her life. Whilst her outer appearance gives the wrong impression to people that she is arrogant and proud, the protagonist has wanted to simply make friends and live a normal life.
Komi is in luck because her seatmate Hitohito will ultimately see through the truth of her flawless public persona and understand her inner turmoil, vowing to help Komi deal with her anxiety and have atleast 100 friends.
