Nothing can be a more fitting tribute for a dear friend. In a heart warming revelation, actor Vin Diesel has declared that he has named his newborn daughter as Pauline, in the memory of his close friend and "Furious 7" co-star Paul Walker.
"I named her Pauline," declared Diesel on NBC's show Today. "There's no other person that I'm thinking about as I'm cutting this umbilical cord."
Diesel had announced the birth of his daughter via Facebook on March 16. The actor had posted an adorable picture of himself with the infant girl accompanied by the lyrics to the Louis Armstrong song, "What a Wonderful World." She is Diesel's third child with his long time partner Paloma Jimenez.
Diesel was closely associated with the late actor Wallker, who died tragically in a car crash in November 2013. The two actors had co-starred in five of the seven movies of "Fast and Furious" series and reportedly had warm relations off-screen as well.
"Furious 7" was still in production when the tragic car crash engulfed the blue-eyed actor. The shooting of the movie had to be stalled temporarily for few months so as to figure out how rest of the movie could be completed without Walker.
Walker had an important role throughout the movie. The shooting resumed later with the help of the late actor's brothers and special effects of shadow technology which created the illusion of the presence of Walker in the shot.
The movie "Furious 7" was pemiered recently at midnight screening at SXSW Fim Festival. The movie's premiere has coincided with the birth of Diesel's third child who was still in hospital and could not attend the event.
Diesel later made his first public appearance with the special preview screening of the movie in California. The actor reportedly broke down while speaking about the movie and his late co-star Walker at the event.
