Google Nexus 5 2015 release will happen sometime this year and new speculations claimed that LG will partner again with Google in making the upcoming Nexus smartphone.
Korean news website E Today cited by Android Origin sparked the rumors after it reported that engineers from Google went to LG headquarters last week taking a tour. It is predicted that Google is in talk with LG about joining handing in manufacturing a new device.
In addition, Ecumenical News reported that Google will probably use LG's technology in making a new smartphone with metal casing since LG is making new handsets with metallic casing. The new Nexus smartphone is also dubbed as Nexus 7 smartphone, which may be confused with the previous tablet of the tech giant. Thus, other reports referred to the upcoming Nexus smartphone as Nexus 5 2015 since Nexus 5 has become widely popular.
LG made some of the most popular Nexus smartphones such as LG Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. The company switched to Motorola in making the current Nexus 6, but the handset experience a slight decline due to higher price tag compared to Nexus 5.
According to Autoomobile, Google is thinking of reviving the Nexus 5 handset after it axed it in the Play Store. The handset will sport specs and features that are similar to the original Nexus 5 handset. The new handset will also have a friendly price tag that attracts most consumers.
Aside from a metal casing, the handset is also rumored to sport a 5.1 inch screen display with quad HD resolution, Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 20 megapixel back camera and a 5 MP front shooter, and 3000 mAh battery. However, Google has not commented on the rumors yet.
