Nintendo has confirmed that the anticipated Wii U exclusive "Legend of Zelda" is not getting launched in 2015 and has been postponed to next year. But, all is not lost because there are other titles that are coming out this year.
Unlike Playstation 4 and Xbox One, Nintendo consoles purely rely on first party exclusives. Most developers have completely abandoned it. Yet, the platform has some must have games including 3D versions of retro classics like Mario and Zelda. For players who miss "Legend of Zelda", there are three other alternatives to look into.
The first is "Xenoblade Chronicles X" which is an obvious choice because the title won critical acclaim on the Wii console. It is one of the best JRPG titles that is set in a truly fascinating universe and allow players to explore a huge world. The title retains the immersive mech combat combined with role playing elements which makes it a worthy replacement, as suggested by Load The Game.
"Splatoon" is another Wii U title scheduled for a 2015 launch. The colorful game is a third person multiplayer shooter where the characters named Inklings are humans who can convert into squids at will. Humans shoot their opponents with colors while as squids they can move through the colors to hide, reload their ink levels or launch a surprise attack on a human. It's a four versus four title which also has a single player campaign.
"Star Fox", a classic Nintendo title is coming back to Wii U and it's definitely one to look out for. The game is scheduled to get launched before the end of 2015, unless there is a delay in release date. Besides, these three games, the developers are also expected to announce some great exclusives during E3 2015, reported Game Informer.
