The "Fast & Furious" family has grown since its first installment. Succeeding installments of the franchise introduced heavy cast members such as Gina Carano, Jason Statham, and Dwayne Johnson. One of the cast actors spoke his thoughts on the film, while fans' curiosity is heightening on the new star the action franchise is going to add.
Actor Tyrese Gibson, who is playing the role of Roman Pearce, expressed his thoughts in his interview with Coming Soon. Gibson said that he and the crew are truly glad with the vigor and the response from outsiders. For him, the fans and the supporters from different parts of the world, served as the "most challenging" thing they have gone through.
Despite of Paul Walker's earlier journey, several things gave them inspiration and comfort, which they did not foresee. Walker's parents affirmed them to continue with the franchise, since their son stood a big role in the movie. The studio, Universal Pictures, also gave donation to Walker's charitable organization - Reaching Out Worldwide. For Gibson, it was the "most honorable and special thing." Walker's brothers, who looked like the actor, expressed their willingness to finish filming the movie. Such support from the actor's family, made "Fast & Furious" family feel better and move forward.
Meanwhile, Gibson also shared his insights on film possibilities in his interview in Cinema Blend. The actor was asked about an actor whom he wanted to be part of the "Fast & Furious." After mentioning names such as Will Smith, Denzel Washington, and Brad Pitt, Gibson came up with actor Matt Damon.
Born in Boston, Massachussets, Damon has been part of various films and television series in the realm of entertainment. He has landed roles in various films like "Good Will Hunting" (1998), "The Talented Mr. Ripley" (1999), "Project Greenlight 3" (2005), "30 Rock" (2006), "The Informant!" (2009), "Invictus" (2009), "Behind the Candelabra" (2013), "The Monuments Men" (2014), and "Interstellar" (2014.)
The actor's projects for this year include "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," "The Martian," and "The Great Wall." He also landed a role for an untitled Matt Damon/Bourn Sequel set to premiere in 2016.
Gibson also revealed his plot in mind, involving him and Mr. Bourne. He said that his character, Roman, and Damon's character are close brothers who get eventually separated at a young age. Damon becomes part of the military and becomes tough until time lets him see his brother Roman, who is in deep trouble. The plot has no issue, as per Cinema Blend, and fans could see a touch of it if there is a "Fast & Furious 8" awaiting.
Aside from Gibson and Walker, the upcoming "Fast & Furious 7" stars Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, John Ortiz, Dwayne Johnson, and Vin Diesel. Director James Wan helmed the film.
Fans will see "Fast & Furious 7" in theaters on Apr. 3.
