After Sam Raimi's Spider-Man in 2002 and Marc Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man" in 2012, Sony and Marvel arranged for the third version of the web-slinger's film. While fans speculate that the third remake of the "Spider-Man" film will center on the same story, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that the next will be something different.
Feige stated his thoughts on the third "Spider-Man" remake in Inquisitr. He said that there is a young kid running in New York, bearing the homemade version of the superhero costume in the Marvel Comics Universe. In the comic books, Peter Parker was a high school student, as opposed to the film's Spider-Man in young adulthood.
According to Crave Online, the line "With great power comes great responsibility" Is integral to Spider-Man's character as per Feige, and the production team aims that this will be revealed in various ways while putting more time on Spider-Man as a high school kid dealing with his powers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Feige, Spider-Man also meets other heroes within the Marvel Universe in comic books, which fans have not seen yet with the previous adaptations of the story. This may indicate indicate possible frequent appearances of the web-slinger in Marvel's upcoming films.
The costume of the superhero was also tackled by Feige, he said that Spider-Man's outfit can still undergo some improvements while the previous film adaptations showcased faith to his costume. He added that he and the production staff have already made the costume design, which is not the same with the previous outfits fans have seen before. Moreover, he said that the new design links to a "classic Spidey."
There is no official announcement yet on the actor behind Peter Parker as well as the exact plot details. However, fans might hear such announcements soon as the new Spider-Man will be seen in "Captain America: Civil War," which is to be held by Joe and Anthony Russo.
Drew Goddard is set to helm the film with Avi Arad, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Alex Kurtzman, Stan Lee, Amy Pascal, Beatriz Sequira, and Matthew Tolmach producing. Steve Ditko, along with Lee and Goddard, is set to pen the script.
The Untitled "Spider-Man" film remake is slated to premiere on July 28, 2017.
