Chinese tech enthusiasts and Samsung fans alike can now avail the company’s next-generation smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge, as they go on sale in the country’s mainland.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a price of 5,088 yuan, while its high-end version, the S6 Edge, can be bought at a price of 6,688 yuan.
The newest Samsung handsets are available in white pearl, green, blue and black. However, the blue and green-colored S6 Edge smartphones are only offered via pre-order for the meantime.
The flagship smartphones were first announced on March 1 during the MWC 2015.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are equipped with 32-gigabyte internal storage. The mobile devices also support dual 4G networks technology.
The newest Samsung models are powered by Exynos 7420, regarded as an ultra fast yet power-friendly processor built on a 14nm process making it more advanced that any other mobile SoC in the market.
The S6 sports a 5.1-inch QHD resolution. Accounting for the higher price of the S6 Edge is its special dual edge curved display.
The Korean-based tech giant firm's phones are regarded as game changers in the mobile devices arena as they are the first to feature curved edges.
In a technology-celebrating Web portal GSM Arena review, "the specs are very much what [they] anticipated from a high-end device, released in 2015 by one of the market leaders."
"The company's expertise in putting excellent hardware to work for the end user is undeniable and we expect nothing short of a blazing fast experience with the image output quality to match," the review added.
