Samsung Galaxy S6 is going to be launched on April 10 and Samsung's top brass hope that it would help to stem the tide and reverse the flow of the declining profits.
A Q1 2015 earnings report revealed that Samsung is experiencing a drop of almost 34 percent in profits and 10 percent in revenue when compared to the same quarter the previous year.
According to Forbes, revenue is expected to be 46 trillion though the detailed report would be available at April-end. Since AnTutu revealed its list of the Top 10 Best Smartphones this first quarter of 2015 and the winner was none other than Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung officials are hoping that it would help to bring in some much-needed revenue, as its pre-order levels match up to iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as reported by Inquistr.
Performance-wise, Samsung Galaxy S6 wins the list among the Android phones today. Other AnTutu benchmark tested phones were One M9 by HTC, Samsung phone Galaxy S5 and S4, Nexus 6, Droid Turbo by Motorola, G Flex 2 by LG, One by OnePlus and MX4 by Meizu.
AnTutu chart shows that both Samsung flagship phones Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are on top of the list with high scores of more than 60,000 winning points. This is because of the octa-core processor Exynos 7420 advanced chip and manufactured exclusively by Samsung.
Meanwhile, Snapdragon 810 by Qualcomm Inc. is the sole competitor of the Exynos 7420. The downfall of the One M9 is its overheating issue otherwise it is also a good contender to the Galaxy S6. However, Galaxy S5 under the European model which is using the Snapdragon 805 made it to number 4 on the An tutu test. Other Snapdragon 805 users Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6 with a RAM of 3GB almost have the same scores.
The performance chip feature winner is clearly Qualcomm as it is at the top spot with 70 percent score. For the GPU performance on the benchmark test, Exynos 7420 by Samsung is the first on the list followed by the Snapdragon 810.
