Activision finally released the latest title for its "Call of Duty" series. The new game title, "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," takes players in a world of high-tech gadget and a wide variety of weapons. The game will hit the stores on Apr. 26.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will be released on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC platforms. Aside from the usual single-player campaign, Activision added a new feature that allows a team of up to four players to play the campaign online.
According to The Verge, "Black Ops III" will feature a new gameplay system that highlights "momentum-based, chained-movement system that allows players to move fluidly though the custom-built environments with finesse." The new gameplay description is sound similar to a previously released video game, "Titanfall."
Treyarch, the game's developer, announced that a multiplayer beta will be released to players who will pre-order the game. However, the official release date of the beta was not revealed.
According to Venture Beat, the new "Black Ops III" centers on deep military science fiction. The game was set in the year 2060 which is roughly 35 years after the end of the previous game's story.
The whole "Call of Duty" series is considered one of the most successful video game franchise with more than 100 million players. The "Black Ops" title has generated more than $1 billion in retail helping the "Call of Duty" franchise reach $10 billion in terms of market value.
For PC gamers, a 4K graphic resolution is available depending on the computer's hardware. Console gamers however will be limited to a 1080p resolution with 60 frames per second refresh rate.
