"Frozen 2" has already been confirmed and now, fans are speculating on what story it will focus on.
According to Crossmap, the story of "Frozen 2" would have some similarities with "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," especially since Anna and Dorothy have some similar personalities.
Additionally, award-winning director Chris Buck visited Australia recently and it seems he found inspiration to develop Anna and Elsa's story was set in that country.
The comparison between "Frozen 2" and "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" was strengthened by the statement of Janet Erlick, executive art director of Fort Lauderdale Children's Theater.
"The power was within her all along to do what needed to be done," she said.
Meanwhile, there are also several other reports claiming that "Frozen 2" will focus on the origins of Elsa's special powers.
In "Frozen," there was no explanation as to how Elsa got her powers, so fans are looking forward to learning more about her history.
Additionally, fans are also looking forward to seeing their other favorite characters like Olaf and Kristoff in the second installment.
In other news, Buck previously revealed that he wanted to say no to directing "Frozen 2" because he felt that it was just too much pressure.
Until now, Buck and co-director Jennifer Lee are still figuring out the best way to ensure that "Frozen 2" will be as highly successful as "Frozen."
"Frozen" reportedly grossed $1.27 billion across the globe. The film earned $308 million in the U.S. alone from home entertainment, Master Herald reported.
"Frozen 2" is pegged for release some time 2017 or 2018.
