Moto X 2015 release date may happen very soon as the current Moto X 2014 discount is offered to consumers.
The second generation of Moto X smartphone or Moto X 2014 discount is now available for a limited time. According to NDTV Gadgets, the current flagship smartphone of Motorola is offered at a discounted price in Flipkart. The 16GB version is now available at $390, while the 32GB variant now costs $438.
Flipkart has not announced until when the promo will end. The listing posted that the offer is valid until stocks last or till the offer ends.
This is not the first time that Moto X 2014 received a discount. Last month, the device already received a price cut. A price cut on a gadget is one of the hints that a successor of the device is coming soon.
The Moto X 2014 was launched in September last year and it boasts a 5.2-inch (1080x1920 pixels) OLED display; 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor paired with 2GB of RAM; 13-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera; 4G LTE, 3G, and a 2300mAh battery.
Meanwhile, Motorola has not announced the existence and official launch of Moto X 2015 yet, but there is a huge possibility that the handset will be released in the fall. According to Android Pit, Moto X 2015 is rumored to pack a 5.2-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 808 processor and 4 GB of RAM, 16 MP back camera and 5 MP selfie shooter, up to 64GB internal storage and 3280 mAh battery. However, Lenovo-owned Motorola has not confirmed the aforementioned Moto X 2015 rumors.
