Several reviewers and motoring enthusiasts are putting the Tesla Model S on top of their list as the best electric car. Some critics are even considering the Tesla Model S P85D as the ultimate electric car.
The P85D boasts a 691 brake horsepower engine with a four-wheel drivetrain. According to Master Herald, the P85D's powerful engine allows that car to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds. The car can also reach a distance of up to 300 miles on just one full charge.
The acceleration power that the P85D possess is the reason why many car enthusiasts like it. For most hybrid and electric car acceleration is a big problem. However, Tesla's engineers might have found the secret to make it the P85D work just like a regular engine powered by gasoline.
Another feature of the P85D that appeal to many consumer is its practicality as well as driving comfort. The cars electric motor gives it an impressive traction. For the car's practicality, it has a combined miles per gallon gasoline equivalent of 93 and will only cost its user around $1.08 on a 25 mile drive.
The Tesla Model S P85D might be close to perfection but it also has its fair share of problems. Most notable of this is the broken power door handle which is a common problem in Tesla made cars.
Tesla has already addressed this issue and told Consumer Reports, "Model S' connectivity paired with over-the-air software updates allow Tesla to diagnose and fix most problems in Model S without the owner ever coming in for service. In instances when hardware, like the door handle, need to be replaced, we strive to make it painless for a customer to get their Model S serviced."
