"Clash of Clans" developer, Supercell, recently released three TV commercials featuring various characters from the very popular mobile game.
Advertising agency Barton F Graf 9000 tapped the service of another commercial company, Psyop, to create the advertisements, according to Creativity Online. The ads were also released on Supercell's official YouTube account and has garnered more than 18 million hits altogether.
One of the ads was entitled "Clash of Clans: Ride of the Hog Riders." It shows the mundane life of the Hog Riders when they are not in battle. Usual activities include taking a bath, playing poker, practicing what appears to be Tai Chi and arm wrestling, according to International Business Times.
The second of the three ads is entitled "Clash of Clans: Shocking Move" and it features four in-game characters, the Archer, the Barbarian, the Hog Rider and a Skeleton. The four appears to be raiding a village when a Hidden Tesla Structure appeared and electrocuted the Barbarian, the Archer and the Hog Rider. The highpoint of the ad was when the Skeleton, unaffected by the electricity, started a comical dance routine.
Lastly, the last of the three ads features a Hog Rider that misinterpreted an attack of Wall Breakers as a balloon parade. The ad is reminiscent of a "Don Quixote" story when the eponymous hero attacked a windmill mistaking it as a giant.
On the ad, the Hog Rider argued to the Archer that the incoming Wall Breaker is not an air offensive but rather a magnificent balloon parade and said quip, "I like balloons." The Hog Rider gracefully evaded bombs while singing a melodramatic song about balloons.
