Archlight Films has acquired the rights for the international sales of the mystery thriller “Pali Road,” top-billed by Jacksone Rathbone of the Hollywood film “The Twilight Saga” and Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen.
The film is the first among the three titles that will be jointly produced by the Crimson Forest Entertainment, Dadi Digital Film, China Film Assist and Cuxing Media Group, who will also serve as the movie's distributor in China.
Jonatahan Lim, the film's director, stated that they "are excited to work with Arclight Films to introduce 'Pali Road' to audiences on a global scale." He is also the chief executive officer of Crimson Forest Entertainment.
"The talented diverse cast, pace-quickening plotline and immersive cinematography are well poised to capture the imagination of viewers far and wide," the director shared.
"Pali Road" follows the story of a young doctor who, after recovering from a car accident, learns that she is married to another man and living a life she cannot remember.
The mystery thriller is set in the island of Hawaii.
Written by Victoria Arch and Doc Pedrolie, the film also features Henry Ian Cusick and Sung Kang from the famous movie franchise "Fast and Furious."
Taiwan's Chen, the movie's lead star, is a recipient of the Asia Rising Star Award for her role in the movie "You Are the Apple of My Eye."
"Pali Road" is produced by Kenneth Burke, Daxing Zhang, Huace Media's Jon Chiew and BKW Entertainment's Xubing. The film's executive producers include Geng Ling and Graze Zhang (Dadi Digital Cinema and China Film Assist), Roy Tijoe and Ricardo Galindez (Hawaii-based Island Film Group), Danny Chan and Anthony Lim.
