The highly popular mobile massively multiplayer online game "Clash of Clans" will be taking a brief maintenance period in order to address reported bugs on the iOS and Android platform. The maintenance schedule was announced by "Clash of Clans" developer Supercell on May 18.
The company added that the maintenance is needed in order to provide a more balanced gameplay and also to fix bugs reported by players. In addition to this, the ongoing training bonus for Balloons and Hog Riders will also end.
"Clash of Clans" advised players through the game's official Twitter account to take advantage of the bonus before the maintenance starts. According to Master Herald, the bonus give "Clash of Clans" players the chance to train Balloons and Hog Riders for half the cost and time.
The update will give players additional features on the game's Clan Perks. Achieving in-game goals will also give players the chance to earn new badges.
Once the update is done, players can upgrade their Canons up to level 13 in order to provide more defensive firepower to their base. Supercell will also remove the prerequisites required in leaving a clan. After the update, players who are currently member of a clan can leave the clan without any problem.
The reported Clan XP bug will be fixed as well. Players claim that on some instances the game does not provide Clan XP during Clan wars. The update will also fix the Dragon fire visual effect bug.
The last update rolled out by Supercell for "Clash of Clans" was released on May 5, according to International Business Times.
