"The Bachelorette" is only two episodes into its recently premiered Season 11. But a frontrunner to lead the next instalment has already emerged. Fans will be surprised to know that the show's official network ABC is eyeing the A-List comedienne Amy Schumer to become the leading lady of Season 12.
The 33-year-old stand-up comedian, actress and writer made her "The Bachelorette" debut on Episode 3 of Season 11 of the show. Schumer appeared to prepare Kaitlyn Bristowe's suitor for their stand-up comedy debut.
Following Schumer's appearance, Robert Mills, the head of Alternative series, specials and late-night programming, has sent an "official" invitation to the 33-year-old comedienne notes TV Line. Mills took to Twitter to extend an invitation to the "Inside Amy Schumer" star and tweeted:
"OK here is the official offer to @amyschumer to become #TheBachelorette. Just say yes and we start tomorrow. #DraftAmy"
It seems the comedienne is interested in giving away roses next season. She responded to Mills' invitation by posting a Twitter message and a photo of her performing on stage. The tweet read: @Millsy11374 Here I come!! #bachelorette pic.twitter.com/tgA1Pzm4oL
Meanwhile, fans must note that there is no official confirmation from the show makers that Schumer will be the star of the show's Season 12. However, "The Bachelorette's" long-time host Chris Harrison expressed his excitement about it. To see what Chris Harrison has to say about it click here.
