The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is available for Sony Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2 and Z3 Compact devices in the Baltic and the Nordic regions. The Android Lollipop 5.0 update is also released for the HTC One M7 and One M8 devices. All the HTC One M8 devices that were sold through the Google Store will get the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade instead of the Android Lollipop 5.0 update.
The delay behind releasing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the Xperia devices worldwide is not known, according to Gospel Herald. There were also reports that Sony was planning to release the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, but Sony has not confirmed these speculations so far, according to Motoring Crunch.
On the other hand, collaboration between Google and HTC helped to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the HTC One M7 and the HTC One M8, earlier than the other companies. All the HTC One M7 and One M8 device owners who use the services of AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint will receive the update soon.
HTC plans to release the Android Lollipop 5.1 update for the other devices as well but a concrete timeline for the release is not yet known.
The Nexus series will receive the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. The devices, which will get the new update first, are Nexus 10, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 4.
There is no confirmation from HTC and Sony about their plans to release the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update for their flagship devices.
