"Orange is the New Black" (OITNB) Season 3 premieres June 12, 2015 featuring the return of girls inside the Litchfield Prison. The Netflix's prison dramedy is set to air its highly anticipated Episode 1 titled "It's the Great Blumpkin, Charlie Brown." The on-demand streaming media company released a featurette teasing what to expect when Season 3 premieres. [Warning: Spoiler alert!]
The synopsis for "Orange is the New Black" (OITNB) Season 3 Episode 1 has not been released. Meanwhile, the featurette teases reunion of the two central characters of the show Alex Vause and Piper Chapman. Fans can expect to see immense drama between the couple when the show returns.
"In Season 3, Alex will deal with consequences of violating he parole," Laura Prepon states in the featurette. Fans can expect to see the "vulnerable side" of Alex in the upcoming instalment.
Additionally, the featurette unveils the new character that is going to "shake things up" for the couple this season. In the trailer, model/ actress Ruby Rose's character Stella Carlin can be seen sending signals to Piper Chapman. According to Christian Today, both Piper and Alex will find themselves drawn towards Stella. And actress Ruby Rose promises that this is "the sexiest season by far."
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, actress Pepron revealed that there is a "love interest," who happens to be a "hot, tattoed" Australian inmate. Pepron revealed that this season is "lighter" as compared to Season 2.
Fans can also expect to see some of the supporting characters take the center stage at some point in Season 3. Actress Lavern Cox told TV Line that the storyline of her character Sophia Burset will "heat up more in the second part." Meanwhile, the first few episodes of "Orange is the New Black" (OITNB) Season 3 will lay the foundation for the things to come.
