Insomniac Games premiered their first trailer of the "Ratchet & Clank" for PS4.
While it looked more like a Pixar movie treat than a video game, Insomniac teased audiences with a detailed, colorful, and smooth animation of the games many worlds, new ride, advanced weaponry, and a combination of old and new favorites, IGN reported.
James Stevenson, the community lead of Insomniac Games, wrote "We knew early on that we didn't want to just up-res Ratchet & Clank for PS2," PlayStation blog featured.
Instead, the whole team visualized the original version in 2002 and wanted a revision of it. According to Stevenson, this is a better way of connecting with the Ratchet's original storyline.
"We envisioned a curated Ratchet & Clank experience that borrowed from the spirit of the classic PS2 games while infusing some of the best elements from the Ratchet & Clank Future games," the developer added.
The result is a whole new game with elements borrowed from its original version, new gameplay segments, new planets, modern controls, and many new features, designed specifically for PS4 use. Also, James Arnold Taylor has reprised his role as Ratchet's voice.
Pre-order of the game is now available. All pre-orders are packed with an exclusive weapon which Stevenson referred to as one of the most spectacular and effective "Ratchet & Clank" weapons, ever.
With just a single click, a wave of homing, miniature bombs are launched, bouncing towards its target.
"Ratchet & Clank" will be released for PS4 next spring, while its movie is set to premiere in 2016. Watch the trailer here:
