"Fuller House" star John Stamos, 51, was arrested for suspicion of driving under influence in Beverly Hills on June 12, Friday, according to authorities.
Responding to several reports of a possible drunk driver in the area of Canon Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard, officers stopped a vehicle being driven by Stamos. The actor was later on transported to a local area hospital by the Beverly Hills Fire Department for observation due to a possible medical condition, KTLA has learned.
According to police, Stamos was issued a citation for DUI and released to the care of the hospital. He was due to appear at the Airport Courthouse near Los Angeles International Airport on Sept. 11, Los Angeles Times reported.
Representatives for Stamos are yet to comment on the issue.
While he first gained stardom on "General Hospital," Stamos is best known for his role Uncle Jesse on the sitcom "Full House," in which he starred between 1987 and 1995. There are recent plans that Netflix will revive "Full House" with a spinoff titled "Fuller House."
Recently, Stamos' "Fuller House" co-star Bob Saget appeared on "The Marilu Henner Show," in which he talked about the origin of the reboot.
Saget said Stamos was "for 10 or 15 years going to Warner Bros. and trying to keep it alive." He added that Stamos was "trying to get a showrunner and see if Jeff Franklin, who is writing this newer incarnation for Netflix, would rejoin."
In addition, Saget said Stamos worked the hardest at Netflix's "Fuller House" and in the last few years, Candace Cameron Bure said she wanted to get the reboot done.
