"Street Fighter" character Ryu and "Fire Emblem" character Roy are reportedly coming to "Super Smash Bros.," according to a recent leak that supports a rumor that started in April.
A recent Reddit update showed multiple files that feature Ryu and his victory sequence. Joining "Super Smash Bros.," the "Street Fighter" character seems to be recreating his stage from "Street Fighter 2." A selection of color options for the character appears to be available, as well.
While "Street Fighter" franchise owner Capcom franchise has already licensed Mega Man out for "Super Smash Bros.," Ryu would be the first character from the fighting series to join Nintendo.
Aside "Street Fighter" character Ryu, "Fire Emblem" character Roy is also expected to be featured in "Super Smash Bros." Having previously starred in "Super Smash Bros. Melee," Roy is the only playable "Fire Emblem" character to appear in the "Super Smash Bros." series.
Sound files from the 3DS version of the game found by data miners in April appeared to confirm that "Street Fighter" character Ryu and "Fire Emblem" character Roy will join "Super Smash Bros."
On June 14, Sunday, viewers from across the globe will witness the Nintendo World Championships 2015. With pre-show broadcasts starting the day's activities, the tournament will stream live from Los Angeles, according to Nintendo.
