With Apple releasing iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, rumors claim that the Cupertino-based company is also going to release the successor of iPhone 5C this year, the iPhone 6C, which is said to be the cheapest and entry-level Apple phone.
According to Master Herald, there are two speculations on the release of the upcoming Apple phones this year. The first is the release of three iPhone models, the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and iPhone 6C. It is also reported that the iPhone 6C will be released along with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
It is assumed that the iPhone 6C will feature a smaller 4-inch screen and a plastic shell. The appearance of the iPhone 6C is rumored to be a blend of the features of the iPhone 5C and the slightly curved screen of the iPhone 6.
The rumored features of the iPhone 6C suggest that the phone will have the lowest price among the upcoming iPhone models. It may also become the entry-level iPhone, replacing the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S, according to Tech Times. Some people even hope that the letter C in iPhone 6C means cheap in terms of price.
Apple did not introduce a success for the iPhone 5C last year, so experts assume that an iPhone 6C may be introduced this year. However, the iPhone 6C remains as a speculation at this point and fans still have to wait for an official announcement and confirmation from Apple.
The iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are slated to be released in September.
