"The Flash" season 2 is currently looking for a female actress to play the role of Wendy. With this, fans are speculating that Grant Gustin's Barry Allen may be choosing the latter over his current flame, Iris West (Candice Patton).
According to TV Line, the CW network is looking for female actresses who are naturally funny and spunky and who could have a believable chemistry with Gustin.
In the comic books, Barry and Wendy will cross paths because the latter works at the Central City Police Department, the place where the former is also actively involved in.
Now, with Wendy's introduction in episode 2, fans are speculating that Barry and Iris' relationship could be greatly affected. Later on in the season, Wendy will also be introduced as her alter ego Wendy White aka Proxy, Mstarz reported.
Meanwhile, the filming for "The Flash" is confirmed to commence in July. In the upcoming season, Robbie Amell's Firestorm is confirmed to reprise his role in episode 1. Actor Victor Garber, who plays the half of Firestorm teased that fans should wait what their contribution will be in season 2.
Amell added during a recent interview that his character Firestorm will be depicted very similar to that in the comic books. Additionally, he said that his powers will also be revealed in season 2.
The actor also added that during last season's finale, his special powers should have been revealed. However, it was cut because the creators of the series felt that it did not have anything to do with the story.
"The Flash" season 2 will premiere on the CW in October.
