The upcoming second season of "The Flash" could see Barry Allen aka The Flash battling against Firestorm in an attempt to save Caitlyn Snow's soul when she turns to her dark side.
During season one's finale episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) slipped into the time stream and raced across the Speed Force. At that time, he witnessed certain events that took place in the past and some events that were to happen in the future.
More specifically, Barry saw a new villain wearing a costume, who very much looked like Caitlyn's (Danielle Panabaker) alter ego Killer Frost.
Although Caitlyn is bound to play the role of a villain in season 2, fans are speculating that Barry would not let her turn to her dark side for good. At S.T.A.R. Labs, both Barry and Caitlyn have already established a wonderful friendship. At one point in season 1, the two even went out to party, Mstarz reported.
Meanwhile, the writers and cast members of "The Flash" have been teasing fans with other spoilers from the upcoming season. Just recently, they confirmed that the filming for season 2 has already commenced.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Victor Garber, who plays the role of Dr. Martin Stein, revealed that he and Robbie Amell will be part of the premiere episode of "The Flash" season 2.
From there, the actor said that fans will see how their inclusion in the premiere episode would impact the story of the hit the CW series.
"The Flash" season 2 will premiere on the CW this coming October.
