The latest "Agent Carter" season 2 spoilers hinted that Peggy Carter will have another love interest in the coming episodes. Following the unexpected death of Steve Rogers (Captain America), it was said that the she will eventually meet someone and move on.
In an interview with CTV, Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) revealed that the season 2 of "Agent Carter" would have a darker theme. She also mentioned that Peggy will have a new love interest. It was said that although Peggy have not fully recovered from Steve Rogers' death, she will come to realize that it was time to move on. The actress refused to give any specifics as to who her new partner would be. She, however, denied rumors claiming that she and Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) will end up together.
Atwell added that fans will get to see a different side of Peggy, one that is more feminine, outgoing and ready to face new adventures.
Speaking to Screen Rant, the actress shared that she was asked by "Agent Carter" scriptwriters if she could sing and dance in front of an audience. Atwell hinted that there could be several musical performances in the coming episodes.
In spite of the changes in Peggy's character, Atwell said that fans can still look forward to action-packed episodes. She revealed that she has always loved doing her own stunts with the help of a trainer. She shared that although there had to be several preparations to ensure that nobody gets hurt, it was all worth it in the end.
