Android 5.1 Lollipop update is being rolled out for the Moto X (1st and 2nd gen) users in Canada, United States and Brazil.
Moto X (1st gen) users in the countries of Belgium, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Netherlands, Spain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Singapore will get the Android Lollipop 5.1 update soon, according to Tech Times. Currently, Motorola is conducting the soak tests in these countries and plans to roll out the update on completion.
The Moto X (1st gen) users can enjoy a number of new features after their devices get updated. "Quick Settings" has been completely revamped and the users can access the Wi-Fi networks and the Bluetooth settings with ease. Screen pinning has also been simplified and the Multi-tasking feature has been enhanced. Smart Lock feature has been added and the apps can also be seen in an easy format.
Moto X (2nd gen) is currently running on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and the new Android Lollipop 5.1 update will fix the performance and the memory issues, according to Android Origin.
Moto X (2nd gen) users based in Sweden, Australia, Singapore, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Philippines, Greece, Norway, Indonesia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Indonesia, Malaysia and Italy are confirmed to receive the update.
Regarding Moto E (1st gen), the Android Lollipop 5.1 update will be released is not yet known, while Verizon Moto E (2nd gen) users have already started receiving the Android 5.1 Lollipop update being rolled out in stages.
