The list of cast members that will be joining "Avengers: Infinity War" is slowly being filled. Just recently, there was a confirmation that the villain Magus will appear in the spinoff. However, the actor who will play the role has not yet been named.
According to Fashion N Style, there are at least three actors who can give the role of Magus some justice. First, actor Mark Pellegrino can play the role of Magus because he is not new to playing the role of a villain. Pellegrino played the role of an antagonist in "Supernatural."
Jason Isaacs is another actor who can reportedly play Magus. The "Harry Potter" actor previously starred in the franchise as Lucious Malfoy. Also included in the list is Tobias Menzies. The latter previously starred in "Outlander," where he also showed how effective he was at becoming a complex villain.
Meanwhile, although there is still no confirmation on who will play Magus, it was recently confirmed that a casting call is already taking place. According to Spoiler TV, Marvel is currently searching for an actor who is fit to be Magus. The production company also noted that the character will play a major part in "Avengers: Infinity War."
In the original comics, Magus was Adam Warlock's darker self. Towards the end of the story, Adam was able to get rid of his evil alter ego and he was also able to undo all the damage the villain has caused.
"Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1" is slated for release in theaters in the United States this coming May 4, 2018.
