"Ghostbusters 3" has already been confirmed for release next year and it will feature an all-female cast. With this, fans are wondering whether or not an all-male cast can happen again. Channing Tatum recently expressed his thoughts on the matter.
According to the "Magic Mike XXL" star, he believes that an all-male "Ghostbusters" cannot and will not happen anytime soon because it is just too complicated.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Tatum said that so much has been going on with the "Ghostbusters" franchise and this has made them seem over-saturated.
Meanwhile, according to Dread Central, there were rumors that Sony will be releasing an all-male "Ghostbusters" following "Ghostbuster 3." The production company was reportedly looking forward to tapping Tatum to join the cast.
Another actor that Sony is considering for a role is "Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt. However, Pratt denied reports that he will be part of the film.
If the spinoff were to push through, the script will be written by "Iron Man 3" Drew Pearce. However, as of late, Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters 3" is the only one that is in the works.
Just recently, photos from the set of the movie were released online and it featured lead stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon. Other cast members include "Avengers: Age of Ultron" star Chris Hemsworth, Leslie Jones and Mark Burzenski.
"Ghostbusters 3" is written by Dan Aykroyd, Katie Dippold, Harold Ramis and Feig and the film will be released in theaters in the United States on July 22.
