Paramount may possibly come up with a "Star Trek" spinoff based on an avid fan's idea and it will be entitled "Star Trek Unchartered."

According to Vine Report, Paramount Pictures already acquired the domain name StarTrekBeyond.com and then invited the previous owner of the website to pitch an idea for them for a possible spinoff.

In an interview with Comic Book, Michael Gummelt, the previous website owner confirmed that he has been invited by the production company to "Star Trek Unchartered" this summer.

Gummelt added that he will be the first ever person from outside the production company that will have the chance to pitch a storyline for the "Star Trek" franchise. He also revealed that one of his choice cast members already read the script and expressed his interest in joining the cast.

The same publication noted that "Star Trek Unchartered" will take place following the Captain Kirk's mission. A new crew and enterprise will also be built just for the upcoming series.

Additionally, the upcoming installment, if it were to push through, will reportedly focus on the Andromeda Galaxy, where almost all of the events will take place. The television series will also explore new and strange worlds, new and old characters and more.

As of late, Paramount has not yet released an official statement regarding Gummelt's claims, but as early as now, fans are looking forward to seeing a new take on the "Star Wars" franchise. Fans are also ecstatic over the fact that a fellow avid fan will be the one in charge.
