UAE is most likely to host the shooting of yet another movie this year, the third installment of the rebooted movie series "Star Trek".
Many sources claim that the serene location of Dubai is finalized for the film's new set. The three key people who are collaborating for this movie are J J Abrams, who was the executive producer of two Star Trek movies; Simon Pegg and William Shatner from the original Star Trek cast, according to Christian Today.
All of them hold the location of Dubai pretty close to their hearts, which could be a major reason for the film to be shot there, according to The National. All these film personalities' have extensively shot at Dubai for more than one film in the past. J J Abrahams had shot for "Star Wars 7 Episode: The Force Awakens" just last year and feels that the scenes came out to be pretty well in that location.
Also, Simon Pegg was seen roaming at the set of the same movie in Abu Dhabi, thus starting rumors that he might boast of a role in that movie. In addition to this, Pegg also came to Abu Dhabi to shoot for "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" as well and said that the place was in a good tune with him.
It is also rumored that James T Kirk will be seen in a cameo in the new Star Trek movie. It is due to this reason that the original director of the movie Roberto Orci walked out, as he does not want to work with Kirk.
Since all these rumors are rife, the Dubai Film and TV commission categorically denied to comment on anything in this regard.
