Game Bench, a company that performs gaming performance benchmarks, has published a report to reveal which one among the iPhone 6S, the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 and the Google Nexus 6 is the best device for high-end gaming.
The Game Bench report indicates that the iPhone 6 delivers the best gaming performance across various kinds of games from different developers. The evaluation was carried out to check the average frames per second produced by aforementioned flagships while playing different games like "Asphalt 8", "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas", "Kill Shot", "Modern Combat 5" and more.
It was revealed that the iPhone 6 has been built to run resource hungry games quite smoothly along with a higher media frame rate. The iPhone 6 managed to maintain a stable frame rate that hardly ever fell below 30 fps.
The next best smartphone for gaming is the Galaxy S6, but the device could not maintain a stable 30 fps rate. The HTC One M9 and the Google Nexus 6 suffered performance issues while playing some games.
The iPhone 6 comes with 1 GB of RAM whereas the Galaxy S6, the HTC One M9 and the Nexus 6 all feature 3 GB of RAM. The benchmark tests indicated that by consuming a quarter of the RAM and running at lower CPU clock rates, the iPhone 6 was able to deliver better gaming performance, Apple Insider reported.
Game Bench benchmarks also indicated that some games produced different gaming performance on iOS and Android. The difference in performance was predominantly on the basis of how gaming titles have been optimized by their developers considering factors like highest frame rate, and the restriction on the display resolution and rendering quality level.
